There are several Dr Hauschka bath products in the rehab facility Mary (Meg Ryan) goes to.
Martha (1974)
The iconic Christian Dior houndstooth perfume bottle appears on Martha’s hotel bathroom shelf while she’s in Rome with her father. The front label is not visible, so it’s impossible to tell what fragrance she wore.
We should add Diorella to my list of “suspects”, since the floral-chypre perfume created by Edmond Roudnitska was launched in 1970.

The pink stick on the left is Max Factor Pan Stik foundation.
Thanks to Amy in the comments for the Max Factor id.
Mr Selfridge S02E03
There are lots of Bourjois products at the cosmetics counter. The beautiful round pots made of paper in pastel colours are from the Ashes of series, which included several lines in several scents: rose, lily, violet, carnation, wall flower, lavender, gardenia, sandal, heliotrope, mimosa/muguet, jasmine/iris.
According to Grace Hummel, Ashes of Roses, created by Ernest Beaux, was first launched in France in 1909, in the USA in 1913 and in England in 1923. As for the graphics, they featured “a slender vase with a single flower,” which was “typical of the Paul Iribe drawings from 1910.”
Each line included perfume and eau de cologne, face powder (loose and compact), vanishing cream, lipstick, bath powder and crystals, talc powder and soap.
Bourjois paid homage to its own past in 2010, when the Vintage collection was released. It included 5 eyeshadows and 3 blushes (Ashes of Carnations in Lilas d’or, Ashes of Roses in Rose Frisson and Ashes of Wall Flower in Rose d’or) in the trademark little round pots.
The Bitch (1979)
The “bitch” of the movie title is Fontaine Khaled (Joan Collins), the fierce owner of a trendy disco. She loves living surrounded by luxury, so no surprise to see expensive perfumes in her bathroom.
The 400 ml bottle on the left is Hermès Calèche, a woody floral fragrance created by Guy Robert in 1961.
The refillable spray in the middle is Calèche again.
The glass bottle with the dark red stopper is Amazone, another classic Hèrmes perfume, created by Maurice Maurin in 1974.
Next to Amazone there’s another bottle of Calèche, the aérospray version. Amazone was marketed in aérospray version, too: the bottle is the same, but the metal details are silver, not gold.
Endless gratitude to The Scentimentalist, who pointed this beautiful perfume sighting out to me.
Cloud Atlas (2012)
Gillian Anderson’s Dressing Room (2016)
Gillian Anderson posted this picture on her Twitter account on June 1st. It was taken in her dressing room at the St. Ann’s Warehouse in Brooklyn, New York, where she performed as Blanche DuBois in a production of A Streetcar Named Desire by Tennessee Williams, directed by Benedict Andrews. Originally performed at the Young Vic in London from July 23, 2014 to September 19, 2014, it starred Anderson, Ben Foster, Vanessa Kirby and Corey Johnson.
Spotting a bottle of Chanel n°5 didn’t surprise me: the former Southern belle Blanche may be broken and mentally unstable, but she still relies on her seduction skills. The iconic perfume, created by Ernest Beaux and launched on May 5th, 1921, surely put the British actress in the right mood to act in a such a complex role.
On her dressing table a packet of Red Cherry false eye-lashes can be seen, too.
La flor de mi secreto (1995)
Mr Selfridge S01E03
There’s a bottle of Guerlain Mitsouko on Ellen Love’s dressing table – a contemporary bottle which was given the vintage touch of an atomizer pump. Choosing this perfume may not be historically accurate – it was created in 1919, ten years after the time in which this episode takes place – but it totally suits Ellen’s vampy and flamboyant style.
When Mr Selfridge asks his mistress to be the testimonial for the first Selfridges perfume, her mind immediately goes to one of her personal heroines – Emma Calvé, the most famous French opera singer of the Belle Époque. Ellen certainly loves the opera singer for being talented and successful, but is also fascinated by her lifestyle, which includes using Guerlain perfumes. Who knows? Maybe Ellen wears a Guerlain perfume herself to emulate her idol.
Scream S02E02 (Psycho)

Brooke Maddox (Carlson Young) is wearing Bite Beauty Cashmere lip cream in Port while getting ready to meet Jake.
Thanks to Ashley Walsh, the show’s make-up department head, for the id.
Endeavour S01E02 (Fugue)
Roy Adamson (Lex Shrapnel) keeps a perfume bottle in his desk drawer. It’s a fictional perfume, Amour Propre, which he puts on when he goes out on a date with Evelyn Balfour, a married woman. The name means “self-love,” a concept introduced by Jean-Jacques Rousseau, according to which esteem depends upon the opinion of others.
