Karen Elson has recently posted the picture of a shopping bag full of beauty products on her Instagram account, commenting: “I’m a beauty product junkie. Can’t help myself. I go in for one thing then come out with a bag full”. I totally feel you, Karen, so welcome to the beauty addict club. But let’s see what Miss Elson has bought: a bottle of Moroccanoil shampoo and a plethora of Sisley skincare products, among which full sizes of Hydra-Flash intensive hydrating mask, Hydra-Global intense anti-aging moisturizer and Phyto-Blanc lightening cleansing milk. In addition, there are samples of Global Perfect pore minimizer, Sisleÿa Global Anti-Age cream, Huile Precieuse a la Rose Noire face oil and Baume Efficace eye and lip contour balm. Last but not least, a box of Marvis toothpaste in Classic Strong Mint.

Lena Dunham’s Bathroom (2014)
Yesterday Lena Dunham posted this picture on her Instagram account. She wore her pajamas and Allstate Foundation Purple Purse bag, a symbol of what the foundation does – supporting domestic violence survivors and the organizations that serve them. She snapped the picture in her bathroom and I couldn’t help but notice an empty Chanel no. 5 giant factice next to the wash-basin. This type of bottle is used in shops for display and it is filled with coloured water, but I think it’s nice to keep in a bathroom, too, especially if you’re a fan of that perfume. So does this mean Lena is a Chanel no. 5 wearer? I wouldn’t be surprised if she were.
Giancarlo Giammetti’s Dresser (2014)
Giancarlo Giammetti, the honorary president of Valentino fashion house, posted this picture on his Instagram account. An elegant dresser, made of marble, glass and steel, “hides” a collection of ties; next to a luxuriant orchid pot, some perfumes can be seen. It looks like he’s a Serge Lutens fan; he certainly loves L’Eau Froide (there are two bottles of it). I’ve also spotted a Jo Malone perfume and Valentino’s latest men’s fragrance, Valentino Uomo.
Jack Falahee’s Dressing Room (2014)
Jack Falahee, one of the protagonists of the legal drama tv show How to Get Away with Murder, posted this picture on his Instagram account. There are some notes from the costume department, plus a bottle of Kiehl’s Original Musk. This happens to be one of my favourite scents: it’s an awesome musky scent with neroli, rose, ylang-ylang and orange blossom notes. It’s definitely a sexy perfume, so I can totally see the American actor wearing it on the set.
Frances Bean Cobain’s Room (2014)
Today Frances Bean Cobain posted this picture on her Twitter account. I obviously couldn’t help but notice the black bottle on the right, near the curtains. It’s the trademark black bottle of Robert Piguet products. This one is not a perfume, though, but a body lotion.
Does she wear Fracas, just like her mother? Uhm, I don’t think so, but it’s hard to tell from the picture. It looks like the trim around the front label is yellow. My guess it that she wears the Bandit body lotion. Sure, it could also be Visa, Gardénia or even Baghari, but I can totally see her wearing the body lotion of the chypré/leathery/animalic scent created by Germaine Cellier and launched in 1944.
Catherine D’Lish’s Dressing Table (2014)
The striptease virtuoso Catherine D’Lish posted this picture on her Instagram account: she was sitting at her dressing table before a show, putting on her make-up and listening to music on her iPod.
On her table you can see L’Oreal products (Perfect Match and True Match liquid foundations, True Match Minerals mineral foundation) and MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural face powder.

I’ve also spotted MAC Pro Longwear lipcolour (probably in Lasting Lust), a Chanel black shiny compact and MAC 190SE foundation brush from the Heirlooms holiday collection released in 2007.
Amanda Plummer’s Dressing Table (1981)
A marbled jar of Erno Lazlo controlling face powder on Amanda Plummer’s dressing table in 1981, when the actress made her Broadway debut in Shelagh Delaney’s A Taste of Honey. The picture was taken by Rivka S. Katvan.
Marian Seldes’ Dressing Table (2007)
A spray bottle of Guerlain Mitsouko can be seen on the dressing table of Marian Seldes, the American actress who passed away yesterday. This beautiful portrait was taken by Rivka Katvan behind the scenes of Deuce, the Terrence McNally play which ran on Broadway in 2007.
Thanks to my friend Maurizio for the id.
Jada Pinkett Smith’s Dressing Table (2014)
Jada Pinkett Smith has just posted this picture on her Facebook account. She’s started her day at 5.30 am, lots of press events for Gotham ahead.
I’ve spotted a MAC lip liner, foundation sticks and lots of NARS compacts (plus a paper bag) on her dressing table. The foundation sticks are black and gold, so I’m not sure if they’re by Iman or Bobbi Brown, since the two packagings are practically the same.

There are also a couple of Becca compacts and Dermalogica antioxidant face mist.
Thanks to my reader Jessica for the Becca and Dermalogica ids.
Marc Almond’s Dressing Table (2014)
Marc Almond shared this picture of his dressing table some months ago. He was having sore throat issues, so there are some throat pastilles, too.
I can see UltraDex recalcifying and whitening toothpaste, No7 Beautiful Skin cleansing balm, Moroccanoil molding cream, Redken Wax Blast 10 styling hairspray and Vaseline Lip Therapy petroleum jelly balm.
