There’s a round box of Coty Airspun loose face powder on Nomi’s dressing table.
Poppy Blossom (Madelaine Petsch) is one of the protagonists of this episode, inspired to The Hours (2002) by Stephen Daldry, based on the novel with the same title by Michael Cunningham. Her storyline is set in the 1950s: she’s an independent woman who practices the arts of magic, through which she tries to help the women of Rivervale trapped in unhappy or boring lives.
She holds beauty lessons in her own mansion, so it’s interesting to see what’s included in her kit.

The film is set in 1946, though, so the box could contain other Dana perfumes – the chypre fruity 20 Carats (1933), the amber Emir (launched in 1935) and the floral Chantilly (1941).
