Richard Madoc tries to convince the muse Calliope to help him with his writer’s block by giving her gifts. Among them there’s a bottle of Jean Paul Gaultier Scandal, a floral chypre fragrance created by Daphné Bugey, Fabrice Pellegrin and Christophe Raynaud and launched in 2017.

There are two interesting perfumes on Lyta’s dressing table. And they are very much so because this scene has an unusual setting: this table is in the house that Lyta’s deceased husband Hector has built for them in the Dreaming.
They are probably perfumes that the woman already wears on the ordinary plan of reality or maybe they have been selected to be worn in a different dimension.

The first fragrance (boxed) is Chanel Coco eau de toilette. It’s an amber spicy creation by Jacques Polge, first launched in 1984.

The second, in the gold bottle, is the extrait de parfum of Yves Saint Laurent Cinéma, an amber floral fragrance created by Jacques Cavallier and launched in 2004.

Samantha is packing to move to her mother’s house after arguing with her husband Darrin: she suggested slogans for an advertising campaign he was working on but he suspects she used magic to help.
There are four bottles on her dressing table, three of which I have been able to identify.

The first two bottles on the left are Revlon Intimate, a chypre floral fragrance launched in 1955.

The tall balloon bottle is Lucien Lelong Tailspin cologne, a floral green creation by Jean Carles launched in 1940.

There’s Guerlain Shalimar in the beautiful flacon chauve souris on a dressing table in Peggy Olson’s bedroom.
Created in 1925 by Jacques Guerlain, it’s undeniably one of the most famous perfumes of all times. You may remember another protagonist of the TV show (Joan Holloway, played by Christina Hendricks) wears the same perfume.

There are two Avon fragrances on a dresser in Nancy Wheeler’s bedroom.

One is a teddy bear decanter with gold stopper (the bear’s head). It’s impossible to know what Avon fragrance it houses, because the same bottle was used for different scents.

The second bottle first made its appearance in Season 1: it’s Miss Lollypop cologne mist, a gourmand (candy) fragrance launched in 1967.

In 1956 Queen Elizabeth II (Claire Foy) gets a haircut in her bedroom. She has two small round tables near her, and on one of them there are two interesting bottles. Both are Penhaligon’s perfumes.

The bottle with dark blue ribbon is the now sadly discontinued Cornubia, a luscious white floral fragrance first launched in 1910 with the name Cornubia Bouquet and re-launched in 1995.

The dark red ribbon marks a legendary fragrance by Penhaligon’s – Hammam Bouquet. This amber woody scent, created by William Penhaligon, was first launched in 1872. Although heavily reformulated, this is still available on the market.
It’s interesting to notice that Hammam Bouquet appears in an episode from Season 1 in the bathroom of the Duke of Windsor – a detail which connects the two members of the Royal Family, at least in the fictional version of their lives.
I found no evidence that Elizabeth II has ever worn these two fragrances. Most rumours point towards something very different – Floris White Rose (which she probably wore on her wedding day) and Guerlain L’Heure Bleue.

On the left side of Elizabeth’s bathroom counter there are two products by Chanel – the Dimensions de Chanel mascara and Allure Sensuelle, an amber floral fragrance created by Jacques Polge and launched in 2005.

A bottle of Gucci Bloom Acqua di Fiori can be seen on a table in Margaret’s walk-in closet. This eau de toilette, created by Alberto Morillas, was launched in 2018.

There are three bottles of Estée Lauder Youth Dew on Rebecca’s dressing table. This warm amber perfume, created by Josephine Catapano, was launched in 1953.
