There’s a tube of Dr. Hauschka body cream in Francesca’s bathroom. The tube with the red band contains creams in different scents – almond, lavender sandalwood and rose. The front side of the tube can’t be read, so it’s impossible to tell exactly what cream it is.
There’s also a spray can of La Roche-Posay thermal water.
Three interesting objects sit on Lori Madison’s vanity in her dressing room.
Yves Saint Laurent Opium (oval box included) takes central stage. In 1985 (year in which this season is set) this perfume was basically everywhere, and it was impossible to escape. This creation by Jean Amic, Jean-Louis Sieuzac and Raymond Chaillan, launched in 1977, took the world of perfumery by storm: the original formula, opulent and spicy, was unlike any other perfume on the market.
The second bottle has a peculiar swirled bud shape. It was used to house several fragrances by Avon (Occur!, for example).
The dark red jar next to it is another Avon product – a body cream. My guess is that the fragrance is Imari, originally launched in 1985, characterised by dark red packaging.

Last but not least, by the mirror there’s a bottle of Revlon Jean Naté after-bath splash.
Thanks to lepetitcivet on Instagram for the YSL id.

There’s a tube of Chapstick Classic Original lip balm on Anders Hill’s bedside table.

Have you ever wondered what perfumes celebrities wear in real life? I love watching pictures of their houses and bathrooms, because there’s always something interesting sitting on vanities, shelves and bedside tables.
Think of Christian Louboutin, for example. What perfume does the designer of the world-famous shoes à la semelle rouge wear? If you’re thinking about something unusual or incredibly exclusive, think again. A classic of French perfumery – Pour un Homme de Caron – can be seen in the beautiful bathroom of his French château. This perfume – with traditional notes of lavender, musk and vanilla – was created by Ernest Daltroff and launched in 1934.

There’s Neutrogena hand cream on Mercedes’ desk.

In Salvador’s bathroom there are two Bulgari products: one is Eau Parfumée au thé vert hair conditioner, the other is Aqua Pour Homme shampoo and shower gel.

There’s a bottle of Cartier Eau de Cartier Concentrée on Alberto’s dressing table. This fragrance, launched in 2002, was created by Christine Nagel.
Yeon-gyo (Cho Yeo-jeong) is a lucky woman: she lives in a wonderful house, she’s got a loving husband and two beautiful children, her closet is filled with Hèrmes Birkin bags and she’s got a luxurious minimal style. When we are allowed into her private room, we are not surprised to see what’s on her dressing table – European luxury perfumes, skincare and make-up.
On the left there’s a bottle decorated with an orange and black ribbon: it’s Orange Blossom by Penhaligon’s, a citrus floral fragrance created by Bertrand Duchaufour and launched in 2010.
Always on the left, just behind the Penhaligon’s perfume, there’s tall bottle with white stopper and a pale green front label: it’s an aromatic water by Santa Maria Novella, the Florence-based company very popular especially in Asian countries.

The several black make-up palettes displayed right in front of the woman are of course by Chanel.

Howard Ratner is a gambling addict who runs a jewellery store in the diamond district in New York. He leads a very hectic and dangerous life, as the bruises on his back show. He’s always busy (even when he’s just out of the shower, he’s on the phone) but thanks to this short scene we can take a look at the toiletries and perfumes he uses.
On the right of the screen there’s Montblanc Legend, an aromatic perfume created by Olivier Pescheux and launched in 2011.

By the washbasin there are two Old Spice Classic deodorant sticks, Pinaud Clubman after-shave lotion and Gillette Foamy shaving foam.
This id is just a guess, but I’m pretty sure it’s correct. I think the bottle half-seen between Howard’s arm and chest is Bleu de Chanel, at least judging from the lettering and from the shape of the atomiser. From a historical point of view, this would be an accurate choice: the film is set in 2012, and this Jacques Polge creation was launched in 2010.
