The Muppet Show S03E02 (Leo Sayer)
In this episode of the Muppet Show, Miss Piggy comes face to face with one of her worst enemies, Annie Sue, introduced as “one of the Muppets’ delightful little ladies of song.” Annie is a fan of the primadonna, but her admiration is unrequited, so much that Miss Piggy kicks her out of her dressing room.
In the scene above, you can see the flacon rayonnant of Guerlain Vol de Nuit. The woody powdery perfume, created by Jacques Guerlain in 1933, shows how refined the leading lady of the show is.

Opening Night (1977)

There’s a box of Coty Airspun loose face powder on Myrtle’s dressing table.
Opening Night (1977)
One of the most famous scenes of the film is Myrtle Gordon (Gena Rowlands) putting on her signature lip colour just before hitting the stage. As you can see, she’s not holding a lipstick but a jumbo crayon. In the 1970s several beauty brands released make-up in crayon form, including Max Factor, which created the Pure Magic line.
Myrtle uses the cheek crayon, bigger than the lip one. It would be interesting to know the exact shade she’s wearing, a beautiful bright pink shade.

Opening Night (1977)

I am not surprised to see a big bottle of Robert Piguet Fracas eau de toilette on Myrtle Gordon’s dressing table. The troubled actress has a strong personality, what it takes to wear a larger-than-life white floral triumph like Fracas, created in 1948 by Germaine Cellier. The bottle has a white stopper, instead of the traditional black one.
