Dora (Margherita Buy) helps Monica (Alba Rohrwacher) give a bath to her newborn baby. There are several interesting products in the room.

First, the unexpected presence of Hermès Concentré d’Orange Verte on the wall shelf. This citrus unisex fragrance was created by Jean Guichard and launched in 2004.

The white bottle on the bath-tub shelf is an Italian baby-care product, BabyGella body wash.

The red bottle with white stopper on the glass wall shelf is Clarins Eau Dynamisante, created by Jacques Courtin-Clarins and launched in 1987.

The green bottle is the iconic Roberts Borotalco talcum powder.

The bottle with white round stopper is Chicco Acqua di Colonia, an eau de cologne for children.

padronidicasa_bornunicorn (2)While Fausto (Gianni Morandi) is getting ready to perform at his comeback concert, we get a glimpse of his bathroom. There are two interesting bottles by the washbasin.

chanelalluresensuelle_bornunicorn.jpgOne is Allure Sensuelle by Chanel. This flanker of Allure (launched in 1996) was created in 2005 by Jacques Polge.

acquadibolgheri_bornunicorn.jpgThe other is Acqua di Bolgheri by Dr. Taffi. This fragrance, launched in 2008, establishes a connection with the film plot, set in the Appenine Mountains between Emilia Romagna and Tuscany. The Tuscan village it is named after had a key role in the life and works of Giosuè Carducci, one of the most important Italian poets [1].

Judy (2019)

The bathroom of the London hotel where Judy Garland (Renee Zellweger) is staying hides two British gems – both by Floris.

The first bottle on the left sitting on the top glass shelf is a Floris perfume. Unable to tell more about the exact fragrance, but the tall stopper is quite distinctive.

On the bottom shelf sits another Floris product – the concentrated bath essence in the big pyramid-shaped bottle with gold stopper.

On the bottom shelf there’s another bottle decorated with what looks like a ribbon. If so, it could be a Penhaligon’s fragrance, possibly Cornubia, a spectacular white floral launched in 1910 and now sadly discontinued.

Goodfellas (1990)

There’s the iconic dove-topped bottle of Nina Ricci L’air du temps on Karen’s dresser. This classic floral/spicy fragrance, created by Francis Fabron, was launched in 1948.

Next to it there’s another iconic bottle – the flacon chauve souris of Guerlain Shalimar, one of the most famous creations by Jacques Guerlain, launched in 1925.

On the right side of the dresser there’s a white bottle: the stopper has a gold band, which indicates it’s a Chanel body lotion, possibly No. 5 or No. 19.

Qualcosa di nuovo (2016)

Lucia (Paola Cortellesi) is a jazz singer who often travels for work. In two different scenes set in hotels we get to know her perfume of choice, in a beautiful black bottle with sculptural gold stopper.

It’s Soir d’Orient by Sisley, a warm spicy fragrance created by Olivier Pescheux and launched in 2015.

In the second picture we can see another Sisley product on Lucia’s bedside table – the grapefruit toning lotion.

There’s a bottle of Chanel Allure in Rachel’s bathroom. The floral fragrance by Jacques Polge was launched in 1996. Next to it there’s a bottle of Bvlgari Pour Femme, a powdery creation by Sophia Grojsman launched in 1994.

By the bath tub there’s Clarins Huile “Anti-Eau” body treatment oil.

When Sylvia (Rosalind Russell) and Edith (Phyllis Povah) decide to act on the infidelity rumours about their friend Mary’s husband, they pay a visit to the cosmetic department at Black’s Fifth Avenue: there, they intend to meet the alleged mistress, Crystal Allen (Joan Crawford).

When they stop at a perfume counter, some interesting bottles can be seen.

On the mirrored table on the right there’s a factice flacon chauve souris of Guerlain Shalimar, the Jacques Guerlain masterpiece launched in 1925.

In the glass cabinet behind the shop assistant there’s a Guerlain flacon montre containing an eau de cologne.

Sleeping with the Enemy (1991)

Martin is an abusive and controlling husband. His wife Laura takes advantage of a stormy evening sail to fake her own death and leave him. But he eventually finds her thanks to a phone call he receives from Vanessa, a woman who took swimming lessons with Laura at YWCA.

When Martin gets home, he obsessively looks for signs of Laura’s staged death. The bathroom has an important function: after cutting his finger, he gets close to the toilet and there, at the bottom, he finds Laura’s wedding ring, which she got rid of before leaving. Most of the products in the bathroom cabinets are by Crabtree & Evelyn, a British brand founded in 1968.

The seashell object is Crabtree & Evelyn sea shell soap with jojoba oil.

The round plastic box is Jean Couturier Coriandre dusting powder. This fragrance, a creation by Jacqueline Couturier, Jean-Louis Sieuzac and Gerard Pelpel, was first launched in 1973.

It’s hard to say if the Crabtree & Evelyn Aloe Vera box contains a bath & shower gel, a talcum powder shaker or another product of that line.

In the cabinet there are two boxes of Crabtree & Evelyn chamomile and Swiss glicerine soap.

There’s also a box of Crabtree & Evelyn Extract of West Indian and Sicilian Limes.

The round box with violets contains a perfumed glycerine soap by Crabtree & Evelyn.

Last, there’s a bottle of Johnson’s baby oil.
