The Eyes of Tammy Faye (2021)

TV preacher Tammy Faye (Jessica Chastain) has a very distinctive make-up and hairstyle, so it’s not surprising to see her dressing table packed with products.

The green lipstick tube is by Revlon from the Moon Drops line, first launched in the late 1950s. The lipstick collection, which included 20 shades, was launched in 1964.

The perfume on her vanity is Estee Lauder Private Collection, a green floral fragrance created by Vincent Marcello and launched in 1973.

In the background there’s a can of Aquanet all-purpose hairspray.

She got several samples at different department stores but they’re not enough: when she sees a full-size jar of it in the bathroom of one of her clients (she’s a maid), she doesn’t think twice and takes it home.

In the bathroom there’s also Bumble & Bumble Prep conditioning spray.

The opening scene shows some of the beauty products used by the protagonist, the actress Mia Roarke.

From the left we can see a jar of Cetaphil moisturizing cream.

There’s a bottle of MCMC Noble fragrance, created by Anne McClain and launched in 2009.

Next, there’s Hamadi Organics shea leave-in moisturizing styling cream.

Next, a peachy pink blush by MAC.

Last, the small toppled-over bottle contains Mario Badescu drying lotion.

Medicines, skincare and some make-up can be seen in Bernadette’s bathroom cabinet.

On the far left (top shelf) there’s a tube of Dr. Hauschka rose day cream.

I don’t usually cover medications, but this one was served on a silver platter: it’s Hyland’s muscle therapy gel with arnica

On the far right there’s a bottle of red nail polish by Butter London.

On the central lower shelf there’s a bottle of Klorane Eau de brillance à la cire de magnolia detangling spray.

The tall white bottle is Avène PhysioLift smoothing night balm.

Next to it, another Klorane product – Lotion florale démaquillante au bleuet apaisant, an eye make-up removing lotion.

On Mimi’s dressing table there are three interesting items.

After untangling the aqua stopper mystery, now I can identify this in no time: it’s Richard Hudnut Tres Flores/Three Flowers brilliantine.

Behind it there’s a spray bottle of Caron Nocturnes de Caron eau de toilette without the black stopper.

The tall bottle with an intricately decorated front label is Murray & Lanman Florida Water cologne.

There are several toiletries in Clara’s bathroom.

The pink plastic bottle on the left is Clairol condition shampoo.

Next to it, a snail-shaped perfume bottle by Avon. It’s unclear what scent it contained, because this bottle was used to house several fragrances – Charisma, Brocade and Régence, among the others.

David (Benjamin Voisin) and Alex (Félix Lefebvre) are recovering after being attacked by bullies at a local fun fair. They’re cleaning themselves up in David’s bathroom.

The first bottle I can see on the left side of the bathroom shelf is Boucheron Pour Homme eau de toilette. I don’t think David wears it, so it’s likely to be something his late father used to wear.

There’s another perfume bottle, and this definitely belongs to David’s mother, the outgoing Mrs. Gorman. It’s Fabergé Babe, a floral fragrance launched in 1977 and famously advertised by Margaux Hemingway.

In the screencap above there’s also a tube of Colgate toothpaste.

On the shelf there’s also a bottle of Pétrole Hahn Vert hair lotion and a box of Nivea Creme.
