Atomic Blonde (2017)

There’s a Dior Diorskin liquid foundation in Lorraine Broughton’s make-up drawer. This is clearly a historically inaccurate choice – the story is set in the Berlin in the late 1980s – but there’s an explanation: Charlize Theron, who plays the role of Lorraine, has been the testimonial for Dior J’Adore since 2004. Besides the foundation, other details (clothes and accessories, for example) are contemporary.
Nothing Left Unsaid (2016)

L. T. Piver Le Trèfle Incarnat rice face powder is included in one of Gloria Vanderbilt’s dream boxes.
20th Century Women (2016)

Abbie’s project is taking pictures of her personal belongings: among them, there’s Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color moisturising lipstick in a red shade. The golden and silver metal case is reminiscent of the brand’s iconic red door, symbol of the Fifth Avenue salon founded in 1910.
Unfortunately, the choice of this prop is historically inaccurate: the film is set in the late 1970s, while this lipstick was launched in 2014.
Carol (2015)

Therese packs some make-up items when she decides to leave with Carol. The pink compact is a beauty powder by Beauté-Salon.
Elle (2016)

Among the products in Michèle’s bathroom, there are Redken Ringlet 07 curl perfector and Lancôme Rènergie Lift liquid foundation.
Broken English (2007)

Nora (Parker Posey) puts on some lip balm by C. O. Bigelow.
Kika (1993)

There are three products from the Cacharel LouLou perfume line on Kika’s dressing table: the shortest bottle contains Lait de douceur body lotion, and the tallest one the perfume. The floral can in the middle of the table is the deodorant. No wonder so many products of the same line were selected: this perfume, created by Jean Guichard and launched in 1987, was hugely popular in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
The striped bottle in front of the mirror is Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche, another iconic perfume, created by Michel Hy and launched in 1970.
Last but not least, some Kerastase Nutritive products (old packaging) can be seen on the far right of the table.

When Nicholas signs his book for Kika, we can see all the make-up on the table is by Cacharel. In this screenshot, pencils and compacts are visible but there are also tubes of foundation, lipsticks and bottles of setting spray.
Margot at the Wedding (2007)

There are Lancôme Rénergie Lift foundation, a Santa Maria Novella cologne and a Chanel blush on Pauline’s dresser.
Memory Box (2016)

There’s Prestige liquid eye liner in Big Teal in Isabelle’s dressing room.
Thanks to my friend Jennifer for telling me about this short movie and for the id.
