I’ve got a thing for Marc Almond’s dressing rooms. The British singer is often on tour, and he frequently posts pictures of the make-up products he wears in concert. The one above was taken in June 2018, backstage at the Let’s Rock Bristol festival.Starting from the left, there are NARS Soft Velvet loose powder and Dior Nude Air pressed face powder. The silver tube topped by a ball is BeneFit 24-Hour Brow Setter clear brow gel. In a plastic sleeve there’s a face brush by EcoTools. There are several products by Kiko – two silver compacts (which could contain foundation or pressed powder), an eyebrow filler in pencil form and two concealer compacts. The silver compact near the Kiko compact is BeneFit Brow Zings, an eyebrow shaping kit. There’s also a tube of Becca Ever-Matte poreless priming perfector. Last, there’s a single eyeshadow in a dark brown shade by NARS.
On December 19th and 20th, 2018, Marc Almond performed with the Jools Holland Orchestra at the Newcastle City Hall. The pictures he takes of his dressing rooms are the best, because they always feature interesting cosmetics (in this case, interesting books too!)
The tube on the left is Becca Ever-Matte poreless priming perfector.
The silver compact just under the EcoTool brush sleeve is BeneFit Brow Zings, an eyebrow shaping kit.
One of the two Kiko Milano silver compacts definitely contains the cream compact foundation; the other could be a pressed powder.
The round black pot by Kiko could be the full-coverage concealer.
There’s also a can of Moroccanoil Luminous hairspray.
The silver compact is Dior Nude Air powder.
Marc Almond posted this picture on his Instagram account. He was in France to appear in the tv show Les années bonheur and took a selfie in his dressing room.
On the table there are Simple Kind to Skin micellar cleansing wipes and two products by Paris Berlin, a brand of professional make-up. One is La Fluide liquid foundation (you can see the box in the transparent plastic bag); the other is – I think – the loose powder, judging from the shape of the box on the right and from the round pot in the bag.
I’ve got a soft spot for Marc Almond as an artist, but I love his habit of posting pictures of his dressing rooms, too. The one above was taken on July 26th, 2015 at the Sands Centre in Carlisle (Cumbria), where Marc performed with the Jools Holland Band.
On the table I can see some items I spotted last May (MAC Mineralize Skinfinish and Dior Cannage compact), plus some additions. The bottle on the shelf is Night Scented Jasmine by Floris, a fragrance with a citrusy opening, floral heart (gardenia, iris, jasmine, lily, mimosa, narcissus, rose and ylang ylang) and a musky base. Thanks to Marc himself for letting me know about the perfume.
The picture above was taken yesterday at the Dublin National Concert Hall. There’s the Dior Cannage compact again, plus several MAC pencils and foundation sponge (in the black plastic bag in front of the mirror), Becca Ever-Matte poreless priming perfector and a couple of ecoTools make-up brushes. The 16-pan palette is Kryolan Dermacolor Camouflage Creme.
Thanks to my reader Jessica for the Kryolan id.
I love when Marc Almond posts on his Instagram account the dressing rooms he visits while on tour. Today he posted this picture, taken yesterday at the Assembly Hall in Turnbridge Wells. The first item which has caught my attention is the beautiful silver Cannage compact by Dior, which could contain Diorskin Nude Tan sun powder or Diorskin Nude Air compact powder.
Thanks to my reader Sara for the MAC id.
Marc Almond shared this picture of his dressing table some months ago. He was having sore throat issues, so there are some throat pastilles, too.
I can see UltraDex recalcifying and whitening toothpaste, No7 Beautiful Skin cleansing balm, Moroccanoil molding cream, Redken Wax Blast 10 styling hairspray and Vaseline Lip Therapy petroleum jelly balm.
