Martin Brody (Roy Scheider) is holding a bottle of Old Spice cologne while throwing meat and blood into the sea to attract the shark infesting the island of Amity. He soaks a handkerchief with the cologne and sniffs it, in a vain attempt to neutralize such an unpleasant smell.
