Just a few moments before starting the performance of Volk, the dancers of the Markos Tanz-Akademie get in a line. On one shelf by the dressing room mirrors there’s an unusual product: Roxy hand-cleaning paste by the German brand Pelikan. Famous for its fountain pens and writing instruments, Pelikan invented this product for cleaning hands from ink, oil and dirt. A product definitely needed in the creepiest dance academy of West Berlin.
It was already on the market in 1938 (as shown here).
