This is the Du Barry face powder, produced by Richard Hudnut, an American businessman who first achieved international success in cosmetics manufacturing. This face powder was named after Jeanne Bécu, comtesse du Barry, the last Maîtresse-en-titre of Louis XV of France and one of the victims of the Reign of Terror during the French Revolution. It’s unclear which version of the powder appears in the film – the lid is not clearly visible – but I think it’s the first.
